On your own TypeSafe key, TypeSafe bills model usage separately. With jev-1.13.0, a typical Decision costs about $0.02 to $0.16 per 1,000 calls; a larger Definition or longer inputs cost more. This is an estimate, not a quote.

- What's the difference between a personal space and an organisation?
- Your personal space is yours alone, at typefuse.ai/@username: build, test and deploy to Test, free for as long as you like. An organisation has its own name (typefuse.ai/acme), members and plan, and is where Decisions run in production. You create one when you choose Founder or Scale, and you can belong to several.
- Can I move my Decisions into an organisation?
- Yes. When your organisation is set up, pick the Decisions to bring across. Their history comes with them, and apps already calling them keep working.
- Can I test with my own TypeSafe key?
- Yes, on every plan. Add it on your Account page, where it is kept only in your browser session, or send it with the CLI or SDK. Tests on your own key don't count towards the test allowance; everything else, such as Decisions and members, stays as your plan allows.
- How do my applications call a Decision in production?
There are three ways, and you choose per environment:
- BYOK, the default: your application sends its own TypeSafe key with each call. TypeFuse uses it for that call and never stores it.
- Relay, when your key must never leave your systems: TypeFuse prepares the request, your application sends it to TypeSafe and hands the response back. The audit record marks that response as reported by your application.
- Managed, on Enterprise: TypeFuse's own TypeSafe key answers, and the usage is billed under your contract.
- What happens when I reach a limit?
The app tells you which limit you've reached and what you can do next.
- Test allowance: test on your own key, wait for the month to renew, or upgrade.
- Decisions and environments: these stop at the plan's number until you remove one or upgrade.
- People: add a seat for £25 a month, up to 3 people on Founder and 25 on Scale. Past that, move up a plan.
- Production calls: on Founder, calls past 50,000 a month are refused until the month renews or you move to Scale. On Scale, calls past 500,000 keep answering at 4p per 1,000 calls.
- Authoring: pauses under fair use until the month renews. Everything else keeps working.
- Does the trial need a card?
- Yes. Founder's 14-day trial includes production, up to 5,000 calls while it runs, and starts with a card on file. We email you three days before it ends; billing starts on day 15 unless you cancel, and Founder then renews every month or year until you cancel. Each person and card has one trial. Your personal space needs no card. A team that needs Scale can trial Founder and upgrade at any time, prorated.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Paid plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from Manage billing. The plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for; then the organisation stops serving production and its Decisions and versions stay, ready if you subscribe again. Monthly plans aren't refunded for part of a month. If you cancel an annual plan within 30 days of paying for it, ask us and we refund the unused whole months.
- Who bills me?
- Stripe sells Founder and Scale on our behalf, collects the right VAT or sales tax for your country and sends the receipts. Prices shown include VAT. Enterprise is invoiced by us directly.
