What you are told about
TypeFuse notifies you about three things:
- Approval requests. When someone asks to deploy or remove a release in an environment that requires approval, everyone who could approve it is notified. The notification goes away once the request is approved, rejected or cancelled, and it can't be dismissed while it waits. Where an environment's approval rules leave nobody able to approve a request, its owners and admins and the requester are told so instead, with how to resolve it. See Deploying, environments and approvals.
- Plan usage. Owners and admins are told when the organisation passes 85% and then 95% of an allowance that resets, such as the month's production calls. Each notice comes once a period and can be dismissed. See Plans and usage.
- Exports. When a large export you asked for is ready (or couldn't be made), you are told, for as long as its file is kept. It can be dismissed. See The Decision log and audit.
- New members. When someone accepts an invite you sent, you're told who joined and with which role. The notice stays for 30 days and can be dismissed. See Inviting people.
The bell
The bell in the top bar shows notifications from every organisation you belong to, whichever one you are in, and each names its organisation. Its count is approvals waiting for you plus notices you haven't read. It opens the latest eight:
- Review opens the Decision's Deployments page, where you approve or reject. You never approve from the list itself.
- Billing opens Settings → Plan.
- Members opens the organisation's Members page.
- Exports opens Audit → Exports, where the file waits to be downloaded.
- See all notifications opens the full list, where Mark all as read clears the count.
In the organisation switcher, each organisation shows its own count, so you can see where something is waiting.
Agents can read your notifications too, through MCP or typefuse notifications.
Approvers are emailed about requests in production environments, and owners about the 85% and 95% notices. TypeFuse's email isn't switched on yet, so for now these notifications appear only in the app, and nothing sent while email was off is sent later.
